participants should plan to arrive early for the event. check-in and cake set-up will begin promptly at 11am. please take into consideration parking and walking to the site. the tasting event will begin on a first-come first-served basis at 11:30am.

yes. each person that would like to participate in the picnic will need their own ticket and cake. tickets can not be shared with a group and cannot be refunded or transferred.

ticket holders are required to bring a cake to particpate.

guests are permitted to join ticket holders, however they will not be allowed to join ticket holders at the cake table for slicing and must remain at in your personal picnic set-up area during that time.

yes! we welcome the entire family at picnic à la cake. ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older and all minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. any child that would like to participate in the tasting will need a ticket and cake for entry.

check-in by providing the name that the ticket is purchased under and recieve your cake tasting box.

recieve your designated color name-tag. this color will be your group for the tasting. early arrival is suggested for first picks as color groups will be handed out on a first-come first-served basis.

place your labeled cake and cake cutter on the provided tables.

set up your personal picnic area while you wait for the event to begin. take this time to find the perfect spot!

wait for your designated color group to get called and prepare to select your slices. each group will get 5 minutes to select and cut their slices.

enjoy the picnic à la cake! stay as long as you want and enjoy our cake community. all slice selections will be complete by 12pm.

we will have a cake-inspired photo area for pictures.

the carat cake stl team will be on-site to provide guidance, answer any questions you might have, and to ensure everyone has a great experience at the picnic!

yes! this is where the fun begins. all participants must bring a cake in order to enter the event. your cake and your ticket are required to participate in the picnic and tasting experience.

please also bring a cake cutter and label to pair with your cake. you will get your cutter back at the end of the tasting.

feel free to get creative! we encourage multi-layer cakes, the more layers and creativity the better. cake sizes must serve atleast 8-10 people.

this is a bring-your-own picnic style event. participants are encouraged to bring:

• blanket or lawn chair

• additonal snacks or picnic bites

• beverages (BYOB)

due to the large number of different bakers and homemade cakes, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.

if you have serious food allergies, we kindly ask that you reconsider attending for your safety.

yes. this is a BYOB event, so feel free to bring your favorite beverages to enjoy during the picnic. cheers!
